Matakatia
Matakatia is made up of beachside, clifftop, urban and lifestyle properties and is situated on the eastern side of the Whangaparaoa Peninsula opposite Tindalls Bay. Known for the beautiful views out over the bay to Auckland City and the bay is a popular swimming spot at high tide or to enjoy fish and chips on the beach. It was one of the few spots where you will find larger residential properties, some having an acre or more land.
Tindalls Bay
You will find a white sandy beach with pohutukawa trees stretching out over the sand to provide shade during those sunny beach days. People who live in this prestigious suburb tend to hold on to their properties for a long time and include residential and holiday homes that have been held for generations. A lot of the old baches have been renovated or removed and it is a popular spot for families and boaties to enjoy a hot summer’s day.
