The Campaign
Being less than 10 years old, the property really appealed to our sellers as they could move straight in and not have to lift a finger. Our main target audience was growing families due to the size and location, retirees due to the low maintenance and single level living. We created a campaign using Trade Me, Realestate.co.nz, Harcourts.co.nz, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and newspaper advertisements including full page adverts in our local real estate paper – The Outlook, and two adverts in Wednesday’s Herald Homes.
The Process
Our sellers didn’t want to be on the market for a long time and decided to go with the auction process due it having less days on the market on average. We put together a plan with the auction being held in-rooms with four weeks of open homes.
The Deal
By Auction day, no buyer was in a position to make an unconditional offer. However, straight after the auction we received a conditional offer that we presented to the owners. After some negotiation, it was decided to decline the offer and wait until our first open home with the advertised price. This led to multiple offers and resulted in a sale at full asking price.
