Stanmore Bay Hockey Hawks

This summer we have taken the initiative to give year 3&4 children the chance to play hockey by sponsoring and entering a team into the North Harbour Summer Hockey Competition.

Our team, the Stanmore Bay Hawks, are made up of children from primary schools on the Hibiscus Coast who travel down to the Hockey Fields in Albany every Monday to “give it a go & to have fun!”.

What a fantastic first game from the Stanmore Bay Hawks – this was their first game playing together as a team.  The Hawks kept a strong defense in the first half against Pinehurst.  Their first game playing together, there were some brilliant tackles and some good passes.  Pinehurst showed some very good skills throughout the game, but the Hawks attitude and perseverance kept the score low, with the game finishing at 1-0 to Pinehurst.  Well done to Jordin, Savannah, Alex, William, Sasha & Ava!
