As the REINZ has reported, Auckland saw a record number of auction sales in March with nearly one out of two homes selling by Auction. Their data also shows that on a suburb by suburb basis, auctions sell for a premium compared to other sales.
The number of sales increased to 500 in March but we are still seeing a high demand and low supply of listings coming on to the market. With winter coming I believe that this will continue to be the case which will see prices remain strong.
